This service can be discussed with a Cast Member via live video chat starting 30 days prior to your park visits. This is a great option should you have any questions, comments, or concerns. You can determine your eligibility and register online for DAS by logging into your My Disney Experience app.

The parks are also equipped with numerous facilities to support guests with special needs. Wheelchair and ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle) rentals are available at each park for a convenient experience, and several companies outside of Disney also offer rentable wheelchairs and ECVs. There are also accessible restrooms and companion restrooms located throughout the parks, making it easier to attend to personal needs.

Disney also provides a wide range of services for guests with cognitive disabilities. This includes break areas and special dietary accommodations. These services ensure that children with autism, ADHD, or other cognitive disabilities can enjoy their day without feeling overwhelmed.

Tips for Navigating the Parks

You always want to plan your visit during off-peak times to avoid large crowds and long lines. Early mornings and weekdays during the school year tend to be less crowded. This makes it easier to move around the parks and access attractions.

Also, the My Disney Experience app is a LIFE saver! This app allows you to manage your schedule, check wait times, and find the nearest restrooms or quiet spots. It’s a great tool to help you stay organized and reduce stress during your visit.

Another convenient resource, is Rider Switch, a service that allows one adult to wait with a child while the rest of the party enjoys an attraction. Then, you can switch roles without waiting in line again. This is particularly useful for families with children who cannot or do not want to ride certain attractions – especially in the heat.

One of my favorite tips is one not too many visitors are aware of – pack a bag with essentials like snacks, water, sunscreen, and any necessary medications or sensory items. Having these items on hand can help keep your child comfortable and happy throughout the day.

YES, you can absolutely bring in your own snacks and water from outside the park!
